ABOUT ME

Hello!

My Vietnamese name is Uyển [Wingg ↗︎], but I am more often known as Rose.

I am a chartered health psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS).  Currently, I am working as a health psychologist in a weight management service in England.

I am passionate about supporting people in changing their habits, with a focus on improving sleep hygiene, managing weight, reducing screen time usage, and establishing regular physical activity routines.

As a child, I had always wanted to become a diplomat because I love learning languages and travelling. But then my dream completely changed after I watched a South Korean TV series called “It’s okay, that’s love”. I became absorbed in mental health terminologies and determined to pursue a career in clinical psychology.

Everything went as planned until I was rejected by all the universities to which I applied for a Master's in Clinical Psychology in Australia. As a result, I had to move back home just before the pandemic.

This was indeed a difficult time, mentally and physically, socially and financially, for all of us. However, having discovered “health psychology” and the importance of a healthy lifestyle during this time gave me hope that we can improve and maintain our physical and mental wellbeing by making changes to our lifestyle, starting with daily habits. Although I graduated later than I intended, I’m glad that my passion for supporting a healthy lifestyle has not changed.
